Fadhil Mohammed

My name is Fadhil, and I am a local, government-registered tour guide in Zanzibar. I have been guiding travellers since 1995, sharing the history, culture and everyday life of my beautiful island. I speak English and Swahili, and I believe the best travel experiences come from genuine human connections. For me, guiding is more than showing places or taking photographs. It is about helping visitors understand Zanzibar through its historic streets, famous doors, local markets, traditions and the stories of its people. I enjoy meeting travellers from different backgrounds, listening to their interests and creating relaxed, personal experiences at their own pace. My goal is for every traveller to feel welcome, comfortable and respected, and to leave Zanzibar with a deeper appreciation of our culture, meaningful memories and a true connection to the island.
